Today's XKCD has a nice message for girls aspiring to become scientists (see below). However, I would add that you don't have to be the next Marie Curie or Lise Meitner or Emmy Noether to be a successful scientist, for that matter. After all, there are plenty of mediocre male scientists out there, too...
The AAS Committee on the Status of Women in Astronomy maintains this blog to disseminate information relevant to astronomers who identify as women and share the perspectives of astronomers from varied backgrounds.
