Do you think your department could use an external review of its climate for women? The American Physical Society (APS) has a whole program set up for conducting site visits. There's also a similar program directed toward the climate for minorites.
This way, if you're concerned that your department could use help identifying areas for improvement, you don't have to go and re-invent the wheel. This has been done before at number of different institutions. I'm only posting this now because I think people could use a reminder that such resources exist. The site visit team may be external, but the results of the visit are confidential.
