Just across the street, i...I agree whole-heartedly. Just across the street, in the UMD Department of Astronomy, we had an emailed discussion about the same editorial. This blog post would have been a welcome addition to the discussion. I hope it will be considered by others.<br /><br />Changing the field's notion of the qualities that signify a good colleague should begin with the readers of such letters. Do we want a colleague who is a spectacular but abrasive solo scientist, in whose brilliant light we might shine?
