I do not have any degree in physics and have been working in the software industry for close to 10 years now. I chose this career only because of family wishes and I did not have anyone to guide me on how to become an astronomer after completing high school. I am satisfied with a simple living style and do not want to stay in the software industry simply because it has a lot more high-paying jobs.
